What is the difference between Level 1 and Level 2 cotillion?
Both levels meet for instructional classes October, November, and December. The Level 1 classes are Carrying Yourself with Dignity, Manners in Public, and Party Etiquette. The Level 2 classes are How to Talk to Anybody, Dress Codes and Gentlemanly Courtesies, and Digital Etiquette.
Both levels have an instructional meal in January with Level 1 having an Afternoon Tea and Level 2 having a Full-Course Dinner.
Both levels meet for an instructional class in February where Level 1 covers thank you notes and Level 2 covers sympathy and congratulatory notes.
Both levels come together for the final event in March.
Throughout the season Level 1 focuses on the Rumba and Level 2 focuses on the Shag. Both levels have a sprinkling of line dances and Waltzing as well.
Due to the difference in the instructional meal, Level 1 is $325 and Level 2 is $375.
Each level is a stand-alone course and no prior cotillion experience is required for either level. The levels are mostly designed as a way to further divide the ages of students with 6th graders and new 7th graders being in Level 1 and 8th graders and returning 7th graders being in Level 2. However, exceptions can be discussed to help with family logistics or waitlist situations.
