FYI

Which level is best for my child’s age and experience level?

Both levels are open to 6th-8th graders.

For the most comprehensive experience, we encourage starting with Level 1, though mature students may begin with Level 2 if preferred. Each level is a stand-alone course and no prior cotillion experience is required for either level.

Schedule

Oct-Dec: Classes

Both levels meet for instructional classes October, November, and December. The Level 1 classes are Carrying Yourself with Dignity, Manners in Public, and Party Etiquette. The Level 2 classes are How to Talk to Anybody, Dress Codes and Gentlemanly Courtesies, and Digital Etiquette.

Jan: Dining Event

Both levels have an instructional meal in January with Level 1 having an Afternoon Tea and Level 2 having a Full-Course Dinner.

Feb: Correspondence Clinic

Both levels meet for an instructional class in February where Level 1 covers thank you notes and Level 2 covers sympathy and congratulatory notes.

Mar: Ball

Both levels come together for the final semi-formal ball in March.

Dancing

Throughout the season Level 1 focuses on the Rumba and Level 2 focuses on the Shag. Both levels have a sprinkling of line dances and Waltzing as well.

Pricing

Due to the difference in the instructional meal, Level 1 is $325 and Level 2 is $375.
